WArning TeChnology for HyDrOGen sulfide early detection based on optical fibres is a project based on ICT experience in optical fibre subject, communication between systems and system integration into net dedicated to heavy industry, provides a highly innovative optical fibre sensor, meeting a difficult requirements for increasing health safety in mines.

Current reindustrialisation, named also industrialisation 4.0, provides digitalisation also for heavy industry, such as mines. That cyber revolution provides a clear benefits in increase of revenue and profitability of industry, but gives also an opportunity for increasing a health security in a workplace. Such a solution is an early warning system for detection hydrogen sulphide, based on optical fibre technology – WATCHDOG.

About the company

IPT Safety was founded in 2014 in Lublin, Poland as special-purpose company of InPhoTech. Company grew organically from the group of scientists passionate about photonics who started to cooperate with business and combined result of two following factors: highly innovative photonic solutions and heavy industry experience.

IPT Safety’s mission is to protect health and safety of employees exposed to harmful environment by using photonics and optical fibers technologies.
